This promo shot (or 8x10 glossy if you will) was taken in 1985 by a friend of ours who was masquerading as a photographer. Note the effective use of light to make Jim appear to have a birthmark of some sort on his face. This picture was taken at the Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore where the JSB enjoyed a 6 year run as the Tuesday night band. We would play 3 sets, divided by hour long breaks during which the entire band would crowd into a Supra to go on a drive about town. The last set would begin at about 3:45 am and would sometimes not end until daybreak.
