Zach Sheehy - USMC
The first day of my first year at ITMS, the Principal took me aside and told me that one of the students in my homeroom, Zach, had an ongoing problem last year with another student. They were both drummers in my band class. No judgement. It was just a "heads up" moment. During the school year, I quickly determined that it was the the other kid who was the problem, not Zach.

Near the end of the year, during a drum lesson, the head on the drum Zach was playing broke. So I taught the class how to replace the broken head. I gave Zach a Sharpie and asked him to sign the broken head. He gave me a puzzled look and did it. I then wrote the date on it and hung the broken drum head on the wall. Now he
was really puzzled and asked if he was in trouble. I said no, I just want to remember you.

He smiled and asked for it back. He wrote "Erin go Braugh" on it and we returned it to its place.

Several years later he returned to visit and gave me a Marine boot camp picture. I immediately knew where the picture should reside.

The Snack Time poster was from one of my General Music classes. One of our projects was to make a music video. One class made a video about food, they used the song parody Eat It by "Weird Al" Yankovic. Yep. We filmed in the kitchen of Ms. Bunster's Home & Careers room. We trashed the place. Cheerios were everywhere. Of course, we cleaned up and left it as we found it but boy did we have fun. They made the sign for a video slide and then all decided to autograph it.

The piece of paper is from a very funny, talented, happy clarinet player named Caitlin. She signed it, handed it to me, told me it would be worth money someday and I should put it on the wall with the other stuff.
